A friend won a Lunar New Year Afternoon Tea at The Fullerton Sydney. Yesterday was wet on & off so it was nice to sit and while away a few hours

The mushroom custard was a little too subtle, the rosewater jelly needed less rosewater & more sugar (it was off balance) and the cute little tiger was very dry.

Everything else was delicious though. The Sling is really citrus & ginger forward and I drank 2 pots of French Earl Grey. My friend was drinking chai lattes.
omg lucky you!

I wonder if other countries are like ours, where one national grocery store company operates under as many as ten different names in different parts of the country?

I was just reflecting on your question, to my knowledge, no, unless I am underinformed. Possibly the most popular store is Konzum, then the international ones follow, like Kaufland, Spar, LIdl. However farmers' markets still manage to survive and a re fairly popular, as well as orders from local small farms. Speaking of Zagreb and close surroundings.

Catching up, sorry, busy week...
I was very happy with the smoked tofu, I cooked it in a paprika, onion, tapioca flour sauce (as thickener). One day I had it over plain rice, the other over chickpeas fussili. Which I used as a side to bolognese variation too. I baked 3 kinds of muffins, altering the banana bread walnut muffin cross, adding more bananas, dates, less walnut, then more carob, chia, sesame, ...it is a very good snack for on the go. Lovely taste. i like the shape out of the moulds too.
I used eggs instead of chia last night, used tapioca flour and wholegrain wheat flour, lovely consistency.
Fairly quick to make and bake.
It was all a bit on the rush side...
