Messy but filling.

Odd combo but I am quarantined so I had to improvise with what I have on hand. So here's gratin Dauphinois with cucumber salad and a hamburger with caramalised onions.

It did taste good.

I'd easily eat that. I don't find it odd. Anyway, I'd eat your Dauphinoise potatoes with almost anything.
 
Since joining this forum and posting images in this thread I've come to realise how boring and repetitive my menus are.......

Chilli beef burger with red oak lettuce and a hassleback.


Never get tired of looking at your food...those spuds!! I've never tried to make them that style, which I'll have to remedy soon.

I've found that you can bake them at a higher temperature to get the skins crispy whilst still adequately cooking the insides (after a couple of minutes per spud in the microwave). The skins on spuds here are a bit on the flimsy side so every little helps.
