Stir fry, red bell, onion, shrimp, baby corn, broccoli, green onions over jasmine rice. Shrimp and vege egg rolls with Chinese hot mustard for me, duck sauce for craig.

Last nights dinner. We had half of the Peking duck left. So I shredded it and added it to stir fried veg in black pepper sauce. The sauce was excellent as the stock from the previous night had separated in the fridge. I saved the fat for roast pots.Pud was Vasina torta.

It's Wednesday mate, what went wrong ?

No snooker. The provincial governor has closed all the snooker halls under covid-19 regulations. Pubs are still open though.

I had char siu noodles yesterday on the way back from the pub.

Awesome. I need to make my own naan.

The easiest I’ve come across is to mix equal quantities BY WEIGHT of self raising flour & plain yogurt. Mix to a dough, don’t overwork it.
Form into flat rounds with floured hands and cook on a dry hot pan or bbq grill.

usually I brush them with melted garlic butter as I take them off the heat.

Triple posting - is that a shootable offense?

My thru the week flatmate made a sort of chilli on Sunday so we had it as tacos tonight - sans tortillas (the food sins are weight loss related as I’m off processed carbs during the week)

I made a mango & red chilli salsa to go with & the guacamole of course because we are not quite completely mad.

I just got their book and have made this rice. Did you make the curry sauce from the book as well? I have all the ingredients except that Eastern Star curry powder (too exp to ship it here) so going to try with some local substitutes first.
I used Mayflower curry sauce mix. A lot of Chinese restaurants use it here in the UK. It's made here as well.
