Can you beam this up for me? I have an inborn craving for any breaded minute type steak (or fish or meat sandwich) with mushroom sauce. What's the herb in the sauce? Parsley?
Yes parsley. That reminds me that I had some chopped parsley for sprinkling to finish that I completely forgot about in the fridge. I do that a lot.

(p.s. if I could beam it up, as any Trekkie knows the same technology is used in the food replicators so you could just say it and have it within 3 seconds :) )

Cottage ham and bean soup, a local specialty:

As soon as I sliced it, MrsT said she wanted it cut up into the soup.

I think this is similar to what rascal calls a pickled pork roll. After slow-cooking in the oven for a couple of hours, the meat flakes off, not unlike a piece of fish.

Nothing like pickled pork, it's hard to describe our piece, imagine boned chops but rolled up and tied. Boiled for 3 to 4 hrs and water changed 2 to 3 times as the meat is salted with brine. The fatty part of the meat turns into gelatinous soft yummy food.
Btw your piece looks yummy as well.

That's similar to what this is, though its shoulder cut off the bone and brined.

I don't really eat much pork but that looks awesome. I could eat that up with a nice piece of cornbread. Yum!
