I’ve used a cake springform

Whole Foods scallops are dry pack.
Two of my local grocery stores have dry pack scallops. I only ever tried searing ones that had been thawed from frozen one time. The fresh dry pack ones tasted better anyway, regardless of sear. If I ever have to use frozen again I'll know what to do, but I likely won't buy them again.

Salmon Poke Bowl. This is the first thing I've eaten straight out of the packaging without any adjustment. Even when I get food from a restaurant, I almost always feel a need to change something about it. But, this was perfect as-is. The salmon was good quality, the rice steamed perfectly and tasted almost as good as freshly-made, and the seasoning was balanced just right.

Better yet, the ones I got were reduced price, from $7 to $2...and it's still well before the sell-by date (February 19th). Here's what I ate just now:

I ate my leftover Leek and Chicken Baked Medjool Date Loaf today.

I ate it cold as I didn't want to dry it out by microwaving. It was very good. The Dates give it an incredible buttery sweet flavor that makes the Leek a secondary flavor.

You can put a cup of water in the microwave when reheating which will prevent the food from drying out.

Hmmm. I'll have to try that - next time I have leftovers that might dry out in the microwave.
