What did you cook or eat today (January 2025)

I did use parchment paper and they did not stick. But that wasn't the issue, it was more about them being heavier and denser than I'd like. And it could be that my dough was too wet. I am going to try a different person's recipe tomorrow and see if I have better results. I will still use parchment paper next time as well, though.
What was your hydration percentage? Wetter doughs usually rise better than drier ones.

Sausage & roasted cabbage (my first challenge entry in there as well):

Your wife eats salmon? I thought she hated seafood?

She does but when we first moved in together she had a food budget.
Salmon was cheap as chips then. And she enjoyed her lunch.
And she will eat fish and chip fish if its thin well cooked. That's it.
I've often said here I still love cheap products for my meals. From my childhood or us startup out. You know I eat beans from a can cold dont you??

We have a spankin' new Church's Chicken that just opened up maybe a week ago ... I love Church's Chicken!
DH had never had it before, so I bought 6 thighs and one biscuit for him to try... to go along with, I made my own Coleslaw and Sweet Corn Bread.
It has been deemed "delicious, but don't get this too often, ok?"
When I looked online at their menu, I didn't see just individual pieces of chicken for sell, so I went inside the store and to my delight, yes, you can purchase JUST chicken. I bought 6 thighs, they're HUGE. WAY too much food, but that's ok... Air Fryer to the rescue with leftovers!

I love both Church's and Popeye's but they're all located in bad neighborhoods in the Akron area.
