Last night Porchetta, I split a piece of pork loin and wrapped it in belly pork with the usual suspects. I am still learning the gas Weber, I used their rec temps and timings. Next time I will still use the initial blast but cook it on a lower temp for longer. We ate it cold for dinner with a salad of grilled Aubergines and Peppers also my fav cabbage salad. Pud watermelon. 7 more days of the diet.View attachment 43917

This all looks great. Tell me about your cabbage salad. It looks super finely shredded (how?) and how is it dressed?

Tell me about your cabbage salad.
The cabbage is grated using the fine slicer on the food processor. Grind in a bit of sea salt and leave for a few hours. Rinse then dry, place in a bowl and give it a good scrunching with your hand. Pour off any liquid and dress just before you eat it. I just like the families olive oil and a squeeze of lemon.

Left overs.... A stale bread roll toasted, left over roast beef, mustard cream & sliced tomato. Washed down with a nice Pinot noir

I've even done it with a Totino's Pizza. I saw it as a challenge.
Yeah, those things are like canned Vienna sausages - they're terrible, but sometimes, that's what you want.

Over on another forum (pizza forum), there was a challenge to make a reasonably edible pizza using a Chef-Boy-R-Dee boxed pizza kit, plus any one ingredient of the maker's choosing. Keep in mind, that forum has a lot of professional pizza makers on it, so the results were pretty interesting, to say the least.

That's a whole meal for me!
My mom would say, "Oh, Girl, we need to fatten you up!" :)
