Smashed egg on toast with balsamic glaze and cress shoots:

Lunch on repeat for daughter, turkey balls in tomato sauce and spaghetti.

Slightly different salad today (we shared the salad, but dressed each differently): lambs lettuce, cucumber, tomato, black olives.

Turkey balls and butternut squash-soy milk mash for me.

No, it will be a side of some kind, as in part of her meal.
I think Timenspace meant shortening of a phrase (abbreviation) - which it is. This reminds of an idea for a new thread...
And here is my first Osso bucco. I am enchanted by the carrots, sauce,tender meat. Special dish.

Would try it with diced canned tomatoes next time. Reckoned I had them, but I did not.

Polenta next time. Used leftover Fussilli from the first lunch today. Just had to try.

Dinner out at a restaurant on the beach renowned for its great fish cuisine….. well, it was simply disappointing. I ordered mussels sautè and what I found in their shells were just some tiny baby tasteless pale mussels.
Afterwards I had some fried sardines and they were soggy and tasteless as well.
I wonder what “renowned” was referred to…
