Really??
I'm pretty sure even I eat more than that!:D:D
Yup, just once a year. My usual McD’s meal is a regular cheeseburger and medium fries. Since I use the app and earn points, I always get my fries free, so my whole meal is about $2.25, but I round up to $3 to help the Ronnie McDonnie House.

Went to the deli we've been going to years for lunch. Going to have to seriously think about continuing to go there for lunch at least, maybe breakfast. It was over $50 for lunch with tax and their 4% convenience fee, plus tip. So, over $60 for lunch in a neighborhood deli. A turkey and bacon club for Craig and a 9 oz corned beef on an onion bagel for me and 2 drinks. The 2 sodas were $8 total, my sandwich was $23 ($5 more than last time) and Craig's was $18, not sure how much his went up. The sandwiches are pretty big, and we'll get a dinner snack out of them, but geez. Over the years, they've gone from high $20s to mid $30s, to low mid $40s for the last 6 months or so, and now another price increase. I didn't look at the breakfast prices to see how much they've gone up.

Ate a part of the couscous challenge entry. Dressed eggs with buckwheat couscous.

That's pretty steep for a sandwich!
I just had a quick look at some of the places around here, and sandwiches are between $11 - $18.
Oh, just a minute... Florida :hyper: :D
Just console yourself because in California, that sandwich would probably cost you $35...

Neighborhood deli, WAY far away from tourist trap areas.

The 6 oz corned beef is $18, but I get the larger one since I only eat half for lunch, then the other half for dinner .

My sleep was not legendary, osso bucco postponed to this evening perhaps.

Instead, from 1 pm on, with restored senses after being out and about, I cooked a wonderful Greek chicken/egg/lemon soup, Avgolemono for lunch.

As it has quinoa, as said, qualifies for the couscous challenge?

Absolutely delicious, possibly one of my top 5 soups so far. Flavourful, refreshing, nourishing.

Last night I made copycat Chipotle adobo chicken bowls. The base was brown basmati cilantro lime rice, then pinto beans, adobo marinated chicken chunks, fresh tomato salsa, Mexican crema, and topped with shredded Monterey jack cheese. It wasn't exactly the same but it was pretty darned close and was quite delicious! I think I went too light on the lime but I'll give this a go again in the near future and see if I can get it closer to the restaurant version.
