Last evening's Scotch Broth for supper.

That looks really good. Without me having to Google, could you please explain to my American brain what it entails? Probably has been explained on here or mentioned at some point, but I am still a relative newbie after just over a year :)

I am still working on this whiskey cream dish, hoping it turns out ok. I'll be back soon!

Reading from the label of the tin: pearl barley, carrots, potatoes, mutton, peas, cornflour, wheatflour and flavouring.

And it is very good (Heinz).

Oh wow - I haven't thought about Scotch Broth for years - I used to eat canned Campbells and Heinz when I was a poor uni student and loved how tasty and filling it was. Gonna make it. Any recipe to share pls?

[EDIT] Just saw you posted it's Heinz one lol. Gonna buy a can(s) for ol' time's sake. :)
 
!4 day weigh in this morning, I've lost 4.25 kg :) . The star of last nights salad was the little peppers we bought ans stuffed with chili cream cheese, left over roast chicken, slice of the chunk of ham we bought, tomato, onion and sour cream salad. fried aubergines dressed in oil.

Hello every body
Today I ate a delicious dish (Eggplant and mashed potato kebab.)
Tasty and good combination.

Ingredients:
Three eggplants
150g ground beef
One medium onion
Two tablespoon tomato paste
Liquid oil
One teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
One teaspoon salt
3 - 4 table spoon mashed potato
