Left: beetroot tower with cheese and watercress, middle: cheese crust with roasted eggplant and parmesan, right: duck liver mousse with cape berry jelly. My favorite was the right one, it was sweet and silky and delicious.

I have discovered that I like alcohol free wine so I had a lovely arrangement of my favorite alcohol free wine maker, the German Jorg Geiger. This one was my favorite, a pinot noir with port tones, cherries and berries. It was served with the main. So I do like wine, I just don't like the taste of alcohol.

Next was Wagyu steak tartare with perle imperial caviar, crunchy poatoes and watercress. My husband's favorite dish of the night. He said 'that's what I work for!' :)

Then my favorite dish of the night. Ravioli with Bresse chicken, mushroom farce, langoustine and a lobster cream sauce. It's a dish that won it's maker several international prizes, and I can see why. It's fenomenal and hard to put in to words how delicious it is. It's like every bite is different yet still harmonious.

Then on to the main: A spin on German sauerbraten. It was partridge with black truffle, potato mousseline, sauerkraut, game gravy, pancetta, and pork belly. The gravy in particular was delicous.

Side dish to the main was a mushroom stew with black truffle and duck liver.

Then another absolute blast in my eyes: several ways of preparing mango with white chocolate, mint and sheep's yoghurt foam. Very delightful.

Lastly, because we went to celebrate our marriage we got a free extra treat of this beautiful chocolate hazelnut tart to share.
The service was great, the ambience beautiful and the food delicious. We're going again at least once next year!
