Wife rang while I was in pub, reminded me dinner club tonight, DAM burgers out the window, we are going to an Indian restaurant called Bombay butler, I know nothing about it so we shall see.
I already know I’m having butter chicken.

About half a dozen couples used to have a dinner club in Chester. We tended to focus on Indian restaurants but eventually decided we could do better. About every month or two the "dinner club" meal was hosted by one of us. The host cooked the rice and bread/chapatis/poppadoms and each of the others cooked a curry (pre-planned). Interesting that the "cooks" were invariably the males.

When I was in my 20s, I dated a few chefs. I never had to cook. I didn't even have to help, I'd just chill in the living room drinking wine and listening to music.

In my 30s I met my husband who had custody of his 4 children. His cooking skills were limited. I learned to cook.

I see nothing wrong with men in aprons turning out fantastic food. I miss it sometimes.
