Why is it 'magic' broccoli?

Probably because it disappears like magic.

It’s a recipe from the Recipe Tin Eats blog here in Australia. Very very popular recipe blog. Toss broccoli florets with some oil & minced garlic, roast in hot oven 20 minutes. Remove & grate over some lemon zest & Parmesan, drizzle of lemon juice.

Stopped in a little podunk no-name hole-in-the-wall sandwich shop and had an excellent early supper:

That's grilled bread, mayonnaise, banana peppers, provolone, ham, salami, pepperoni, onions, olives, lettuce, and tomato.

The woman running the place made me laugh. I stepped over to use the restroom, but saw a sign that said "Out Of Order."

"Well, I guess I won't be doing that," I said.

"Oh, you can use it. I just have that sign up to keep people I don't like out."

$7.49US. It went by the name "The Plowboy."
Looks good..do you think the bread was grilled first, then they made the sandwich? Or, was the whole thing put in a flat panini press? That kills the lettuce...I have two presses..one is ridged and one is flat surface...I never thought of grilling the bread on it's own first..might give it a try for tomorrow's special..

I think it was probably pressed all at the same time. It was hot all the way through, that's for sure.
