I studied German as a foreign language for 2 years abroad.
Won't bore you with linguistic questions, just curious.
I've never been to Oktoberfest. I don't drink beer, that's the main reason. But I've been to several beautiful Biergärten...

Supper last night was a bowl of warmed up store bought squash and carrot soup, a no meat fried combination, egg, toms, shrooms and bread.

Chocolate & banana cake in a nearby cafe + antipasti (bresaola & co) at home last night. Home-cooked pork & accompaniments today.

Lunch
The usual Sourdough, smashed avocado, senap or chutney and tofu

And evening meal.

Beans on toast with a poached egg.

While my potatoes are cooking, I will lie down a tad. Chicken breast filled Schnitzel planned as main, leftover squash and carrot soup and cucs salad.

I don’t remember a lot of German because I don’t use it. My grandmother and her friends always spoke in German. That is who I learned it from. My memories of October fest in Germany was everyone, regardless of age drank beer. And they ate ice cream while they consume red beer.

Certainly! Dutch has quite a few contact points with German.

With pic, boiled potatoes, fried chicken breast, fresh cucs.
Mint choc, very nice.

Here is some food I have made lately:

Steak, mashed potatoes with my take on a garlic gravy, and corn.

Spaghetti and garlic toast.

Chicken in a bag, cheesy scalloped potatoes, and green beans.

Tuna for sandwiches.

not for today but i am cooking a pot roast for tomorrow , cooking it low and slow

Dinner, almost forgot, I was completely soaked into a thousand of thoughts, and it was the hunger that said, hey, gimme some food.

So, I fried up some jägerwurst, had leftover boiled potatoes, added toms and olives, a nice salad came out.

Horrible Tovala meal tonight. Supposed to be a chicken French Onion melt (Swiss) over mash, and I added green beans. The French Onion sauce tasted like chemicals period. I made my displeasure known via ratings.

We’re trying a new pasta we brought in. A lemon infused fettuccini. I really like this type. It only takes 4 minutes to cook. Very light. I paired it with shrimps and scallops.
