Today, I made a quinoa salad. I prepared about a 1/4 cup of uncooked quinoa and as it was cooking, I chopped up veggies. I chopped up half an onion with half of a tomato and a couple mushrooms and put them all together in a pan to tenderize them. Once the veggies were done, I mixed in the cooked quinoa and added garlic parsley flakes for seasoning. I proceeded to put all of this on top of a cup of baby spinach.

Are you vegan or vegetarian or are you just into super healthy food!?

It's still morning, so I've only cooked up a fried egg, toast, and coffee. Last night, I baked some barbecue chicken with rice and carrots. I'm sharing that with my cats and the strays later, for a treat.

Not today but Friday ,wine tasting event 60 people plus a full restaurant

I made vegetable stir fry today. I cooked cauliflower, broccoli and carrot with garlic today. I might have over cooked it a bit because the broccoli was too soft but overall it's a good meal for me.

How about you. What did you cook today?
Well this AM I had kind of an old fashioned skillet with eggs, potatoes, onion and a bit of ham. I would have put green peeppers in it too, if I had any. I will also make potato salad. actually finish it and ham steak

I cooked stir-fried noodles and vegetables with some rice and boiled garlic chicken. I'm Asian so this food really appeals to me. :)
So when you say boiled garlic chicken, do you mean a whole chicken (or pieces of chicken) boiled with garlic cloves in the water? I've never heard of that.

Boiling chicken (usually) whole is quite normal and I know quite a few people who cook it this way. Needless to say the chicken is a lot more moist and TBH it is no different from cooking it in a stew or soup.

Oh yes. I know. I have boiled chicken whole before. It was just the garlic aspect I was wondering about. I would have thought that putting cloves of garlic in the water wouldn't significantly flavour the chicken. I mean, I've boiled whole chicken with a few garlic cloves and bay leaves, peppercorns, herbs etc. but that just produces a very mild aromatic flavour. I was wondering if significant amounts of garlic were used or whether there was another technique involved.

Our dinner for tonight is grilled pork belly. Locally called LIEMPO, it is marinated in a mix of vinegar, a little sugar, crushed garlic, soy sauce and spices and herbs like black pepper and oregano. The grilling is at 300 deg for 30 minutes and the heat is increased every 15 minutes until cooked. The maximum heat is 350 degrees that would make the skin crunchy. It is chopped before serving. Best with steamed rice and any kind of soup.

Today I cooked garlic bread with broccoli soup. It is very healthy, delicious and easy to digest.

At present, I am unable to cook anything whatsoever. This is thanks - a big, special thank you - to the moron that decided to turn on taps, leave them running and turn my flat into Atlantis.

As somebody once remarked, "I am going outside and may be some time."

Starter: Prosciutto ham and melon Main: Moules Mariniere with home-made rye bread. Green salad. Then if still hungry, camembert and oatcakes. Finally: ice-cream with greengages.
