What did you eat/cook today (February 2017)?

Tonight we had a stir-fry. It was left over brown rice with prawns and peas and egg stirred in and some soy sauce with coriander over the top.

Jealous of all these home cooked meals! Only have time to cook about once a week now. Wish I could pay someone to come cook for me every now and then!

Pancakes with lime juice and just a sprinkling of sugar.

I only used one pan and kept them warm in the halogen at 100 degC. Very good.

[I've saved some batter to cook Yorkshire fried chicken tomorrow]

On February me and my wife just go to restaurant and eat. But they food here looks very delicious it made me hungry lol

Tonight with be potato soup with ham steaks on the side.

@Yorky on your fish, do you batter and cook it frozen or thaw then batter and cook?

Lunch-time salad of charred lettuce, charred lemon, ruby grapefruit and avocado. Served with the remains of yesterday's tomato tart. I'll post this up as a recipe as there was an interest in 'cooked' lettuce in another thread.

Something else I've never tried, although I have got a recipe somewhere which included charred lettuce. I'm trying to find my recipe (or a decent recipe) for lettuce soup. It can be rather tasty. I don't think it even occurs to a lot of people that lettuce can be cooked.

I had Shakshuka tonight. I did enjoy it but still can't get over my phobia about runny eggs! I think I might try it again but cook the eggs separately.
