We went over to the East side of the Island today, to Kaneohe, here I'm from and DH lived for 30 years.
Went to acoupla my old favorites for, well, more so goodies.

Hubby has been away all of this week (Monday was a public holiday). He came home with these.

Now our Woollies and all the shops in the surrounding area stopped this flavour 18 months ago, so it's quite a treat. I did joke to him that perhaps he needed to check the best before date!

Belgian dark chocolate, 2 with orange flavour, 1 with cherry flavour, was actually the cheapest of the dark choc varieties...not complaining...will taste tomorrow.
I ran out of dark choc , both at home and at work...

Fake surimi sticks
Pecans
Honey and salt cashews and peanuts(obsession)

Caramel choc covered sticks for my daughter
Gluten free bread

This mustard which I'm told is the king of whole grain mustards.
We'll see!

It's an ingredient in the most tiresome sounding recipe I've ever read!
But I liked the idea so I'll take what I like from it and see how I go.

Corned Beef Brisket Recipe

This is a website with paywalls, you can only view two recipes a day for free so be careful what you choose to click on or you won't be able to get back to the recipe you want to see until tomorrow 😆

Needed a few essentials, so I was off to the greocery store this afternoon

Those eggs are from ARIZONA!!!
I spent $132 in total. I also had a quart of whole milk, 5 cartons of yogurt, some Poke, some Shoyu, and a box of breakfast cereal - that's it!
The cost here on Oahu is mostly double what I pay in Northern Arizona, but from where we were lived in Southern Arizona, it's 70% more!

This special edition Aloha Shoyu bottle was introduced the later part of last year and I tried to get one, but to no avail.
I was perusing the aisle of my local Foodland Supermarket here on Oahu and FOUND IT!!!

It was even on sale, cheap!
The nice young man who check me out said, "Oh, Auntie, we get plenty. You like more?"
No I'm good with three.

TastyReuben , yup.
It's said that 99% of goods here in Hawaii is brought in by container ships and barges

The container ships are HUGE!!!!
This ☝️ is a barge going between the Islands.
The main "Ship Yard" is in Honolulu Harbor and it's massive. The Longshoremen keep a strangle hold on everyone.
More than once they've gone on strike for higher wages - geez they probably make more money than anyone else and they wanted even more?

Just a couple of things from today's catch.
Chernobyl sized spring onions going cheap.

Cooked hard boiled eggs I mentioned before. They keep at room temp for five weeks!
I checked the ingredients it's eggs (obviously) and a shell coating agent called E904. I'm wondering if it's possible to do a homemade version for travelling 🤔 more coating investigation required 🤓

And lastly these cherries which I'm not totally convinced aren't laced with crack cocaine because they taste sooo good. Sweet and sour with and effervescent fizz to them. I don't know if I'll taste cherries this good ever again!
