What produce/ingredients did you buy or obtain today (2024)?

But were they worth it? 🤔
Yes!

It’s was just mildly sobering - I don’t really check the prices of most things when I pick them up. I have a general idea, like I know the bag of six romaine heads is more than $5 but less than $10, that sort of thing.

I’d grabbed the cherries, tossed them in the cart, and when I scanned them at the checkout, I thought, “$11.20! Seriously! For 🤬 cherries! Robbery! Oh well, they’re in the bag now, I’ve committed.”

I like your style. I'd be exactly the same.
"WHAT?!?! that's daylight robbery!! Umm yes I'll have them" 😆

I bought cherries on Saturday.

Not bad

I paid $11.20 for 1.87 pounds, so that’s €10.44 for 848 grams.
$7.90 for 300g here. Which is AU$26.33 /kg or €16.22 but they are delicious
I confess I didn't look at the price of the cherries they were calling my name so loudly it wasn't a consideration!

Hang on I've got the receipt somewhere.

Well, I'm really hoping that this evening, Max (son) can pick some of the cherries which are ripe on the tree in my garden. They will be free!

We had a couple of cherries trees when I was a kid and it was hard to keep the birds from them.
