Hmm šŸ¤”
Recipe calls for two 2 gram leaves of gelatine.

I have three different types of leaf gelatine and not one of them is 2g a leaf.
I have 1.6g 1.625g or 3.125g.
Iā€™d cut the big one in half, the smallest one in quarters, use a half of the big one and a quarter of the small one, and that should be right around 1.9g.

Geez-louiseā€¦the meds for MrsTā€™s UTI have given her a secondary infection, so back to the doc, who again has prescribed her a med that has a ā€œmajorā€ interaction with one of her other meds. šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

I told her today, from now on, check interactions yourself before you leave their office, because theyā€™re obviously not ever going to check that.

That's pretty neglient! They don't have warnings for that in their system? Here when there's an interaction they get a pop-up.

Though one time when I was in hospital I got a pill that I didn't recognize, so I googled it. It turned out to be deadly for people with Crohns disease. I told the nurse, she said she had mixed up my meds and the meds for the dementia patient next door.. it could have killed both of us. Maybe I should have filed a complaint, but back then I was too sick to bother.

One week on and they still haven't found the little boy's body. A water search team has just kitted up outside my house and is heading down to the river.
My brother has just told me that yesterday there was a search and rescue team in the area he was meant to be going for a walk today (Rudyard, Leek, Staffs) and today they have closed the reservoir and surrounding area (presumably including the sailing club and walking trails). I'm guessing they've found whoever they were looking for but the news isn't good.

I've seen the new specialist to inquire about my continous fever (3 months already) and she's set up a large check up. She thinks I probably have systemic Lupus, which would overrule all my other diagnoses and I already have been diagnosed with Lupus anticoagulans (a variety of Lupus) so the chance that my condition is actually systemic Lupus instead of a whole collection of other things is pretty likely.
However, no conclusions are made yet. I will see her again on march 12th for the first results of the blood check etc.

So sorry for the parents :(
That's what makes it so awful, on top of the clear feelings of guilt that the family feel, there is the knowledge that he is out there somewhere and they can't give him the care and funeral he should have. The police are suggesting he could have been taken as far as the river Trent by now. All we want is him returned to his parents and peace to return to our lovely corner of the county.

Sadly not good news.

Body of missing boy, 17, found by police in Staffordshire lake

My uncle used to be a life guard at the sailing club there back in the 70's so it's an area we know well.

Today was 32Ā°C. Tomorrow is forecast as 38Ā°C, Friday 35Ā°C and the weekend cooler at 31Ā°C both days.

Tomorrow will be a challenge with no aircon. I will spend the day hiding from the outside, but having to go out once an hour to check on my chooks and make sure that they are cool enough. I've a 10yr of chook who it may be a challenge for plus a broody chook who if I let out of the dog cage will just find a small cramped, unventilated nest box to sit in. So she's better left on the verandah in the dog cage.
