What did you cook or eat today (August 2022)?

Yes and no. I cook chicken thighs on the grill (bbq) all the time. I use indirect cooking. On the charcoal grill, that means putting the hot coals on one side of the grill, and the chicken on the other. On the gas grill, I light two of the three burners, and put the chicken over the unlit burner. Either way, you avoid burning your chicken with flair-ups from dripping chicken fat.

Here are some marinaded wings done on the charcoal grill using the method I mentioned...

I mixed some hickory wood chunks in with the charcoal for a smoky flavor.

That'll work. My son does it on his Weber.

My charcoal grills and gas grill are all Webers. I'm sure your son is very familiar with the indirect cooking method on his kettle.

He has no interest in cooking and yet he buys a weber and uses that. Hes on several FB pages. Hes yet to do me some brisket. I stay hopeful lol.
