Browned butter roux with a beer base Mac & cheese with cheddar, muenster and Swiss cheese with 3 kinds of heat, baked with toasted panko on top

As my husband and I both have some issues with crowds and stuff, we went to Belgium only to shop today so we had a very quick meal at the Carrefour food court which was not impressive enough for pictures.
We both had a ready made salmon salad with a roll and a croissant, plus a cup of tomato soup. Then we were on the road again and now we're drinking tea and eating sweets.

Trying out the Belgian cheese croquettes tomorrow to see if they are indeed the same as I remember!

Vegetarian tonight. It was 100F/38C at 8PM when I braved the heat of grill up some veggies. Sweet corn on the cob, and skewers with mushrooms, onions and red bell peppers. Drizzled with OO, and seasoned with salt and black pepper.

It didn't take long to cook, so I wasn't outside for long. Worth it!
