What did you cook or eat today (August 2024)

I used up some leftovers to make hubby's brunch: half a leftover biscuit, a slice of American cheese, leftover sausage gravy (with champagne saffron cream sauce mixed in), leftover saffron and champagne grits on the side, and two over-medium eggs on top. Made some room in the refrigerator and he was happy!
 
Improvised but delicious chicken breast in sweet&sour sauce cooked at home.

Bit of lasagne before the salad was added.
It looks soft because I had the mince remains from the pan 😋

I had half a pan, no clue how the others manage a whole one!
Growing boys!

When I was a teenager and in my early 20s I had a high metabolism and could have eaten a whole pan...that ship has sailed, LOL.
 
Nachos with the last of the birria from the freezer, Oaxaca and cheddar, garnishes of scallions, fresh tomatoes, avocado chunks dressed with S&P and lime juice, and Craig also had jalapenos, topped with some sour cream. Craig mentioned how good they were. Told him I thought it was the birria since that was the only thing different.
