Also, now Detroit for their thick square pizza!! And don't forget the Italian pizza. They still argue that THEIRS is the best!!
A month or so ago, I was invited on a Gourmet Tour around the city, and one of the places we stopped at was a Neapolitan Pizza place. The owner went to Naples to learn how to make "Verace Pizza Napoletana", and has a certificate to prove it.
I think a large number of Americans would probably have an apoplectic fit if they were served this delicious pizza, with mortadella, pistacho cream and burrata:

I can hear them complaining now.
" Where's da Marinara, Dino??"

Here's the pot roast that I just finished slow cooking overnight!! Just made the gravy to it after adding the potatoes & carrots!! Enjoy!!! I'll cook some rice to go with it a little later. :whistling: View attachment 102389
I'm eventually going to vacuum seal some of this with my new chamber vacuum sealer & freeze it so that I won't have to make another one for a while!!!! :whistling:

Some of us Neanderthals in the US do like Neapolitan pizza. There is a great place here in Frisco that does a great business.

That's only because you've got Italian heritage
Seriously though - Neapolitan pizzas are really, really different from what most people (including me) expect. And i love the simplicity of them.
Never found one in Cincinnati, mind you...

I've eaten pizza in Napoli (Naples). You can find it in Murica, if you want to.

BTW, ham and pineapple on pizza wasn't our thing. That blame goes to Canada. :D
