What did you cook or eat today (March 2025)

We only like the white meat. Most muricans eat the lot eh??

Yes and no, I think. At Thanksgiving, I’d say most want just the white meat, but there’s always that one drunk brother-in-law going for the drumstick before falling into the mashed potatoes.

Outdoor festivals, though…turkey legs all the way!

I love De Cecco pasta. Definitely the best commercial brand IMHO. Their pappardelle are extraordinary.

De Cecco is at third place on my favourite pasta brand list. The second one is Pasta Garofalo, but the absolute winner at top is definitely Pasta Rummo!

Well that’s very useful to know as my favourite gluten free pasta is Garofalo, then De Cecco but I’ve not tried Rummo.
It looks like Ocado sell it.
That’s definitely going in my basket. Thanks 🤩

Good to know that. Garofalo and Rummo are not, unfortunately, available here in Caracas, but I'll have a look next time I'm in the US!

Hmm if anyone wouldn’t mind writing a bit about cooking frozen meats in the IP thread I’d appreciate it. The only meat I’ve ever cooked from frozen is coated chicken. I’ve never cooked real meat from frozen, not even once. I think I might be missing out!

The Instant Pot (pressure/multicooker) thread.
Google is your friend with this sort of thing as I'm guessing the timings of different items is going to vary. Google told me that chilled chicken legs would take 12 minutes to cook and frozen ones 25 minutes - perhaps you just double the cooking time on other things, I genuinely don't know and wont find out until I pressure cook something else from frozen.

I used the information I got from Google and actually cooked them for 20 minutes and then finished them off in my air fryer I as adore crispy chicken skin!

This is what I did: Pressure Cooked Frozen Chicken Legs and Veg with Onion Gravy in a NinjaFoodi
