What did you cook or eat today (March 2025)

Comfort food for my tea this evening whilst I recover from an injection in to my eye; some delicious streaky bacon from the butchers, baked beans and some curly fries leftover from the weekend when I looked after my 2 Goddaughters and 2 Nieces for the afternoon :)

At least there's one vegetable involved in that meal! Lol. Why peel it though? I just munch on them whole, peel and all.
Yeah, especially since it looked like one of the English seedless cukes that come in cryovac so the skin isn't waxed. I just slice them and eat them like that with maybe some sort of dressing like ranch to dip them.

You're going to eat that whole cuke? I'd be burping like crazy within a few minutes after!
Nah, it’s one of those burpless English cukes. See, the way I figure it, I ate a handful of radishes the other day, and the next day, I ate about a quarter of a head of cabbage, and a bunch of grape tomatoes the day after that, and now that cuke…it sort of works out to a salad a day, right?

Some of it was a little scabby, but I usually eat the peel myself. MrsT prefers they be peeled, so we compromise with leaving about half the peel.

So they say. I guarantee it will make me burp! And I wouldn't be able to eat more than 4-5 slices to start that up.

It's been snowing all day long!
This calls for ---
Noodle Bowl aka Won Ton Mein with my homemade Char Siu (Chinese BBQ Pork) and some home grown Green Onion tops.
We like S&S Saimin from Hawaii best.
A new Ramen joint opened up not far from our place, but here's I we figure it: mine is better (customized to the diner) and cheaper, plus Saimin is much better than Ramen ANYDAY OF THE WEEK!
