What did you cook or eat today (September 2024)

Took my daughter out to lunch.
Squid and chips for her, tuna and chard potato mix for me.
Mine was absolutely delicious. She sai8d hers was too.

That is where we ate.

Have soaked beans overnight, are cooking now, for a breakfast(s) batch. Maybe I'll freeze some too.

Haven't actually cooked anything yet today. Yoghurt and strawberries for breakfast.
I have put some long peppers in the oven though, which will be duly stuffed in an hour or so.

Tovala meals of cheese stuffed shells with Alredo, and pork and spinach ragu. I liked it, Craig did not.

Well it's the weekend, so it's the usual weekend lunch.

Sourdough, smashed avocado, senap or chutney and a slice of tofu

Avocados are great at the moment, but a little more expensive than usual.

Sadly, more and more local O’fests are moving to premade sauerkraut balls. These were ok, but definitely from a food supplier. MrsT strongly hinted, “I’ll bet you could do better than these.”

Guess I’m making sauerkraut balls soon…

I just had a sourdough pizza, using the uuni, but I forgot the pictures (again)
Tomato, pepper salami, cheese garlic & olives.

Finally rid of the shooting pains, back on my feet and in the kitchen.
Invited my Dad over for Sunday lunch tomorrow and my gravy worshipping son who went back to his apartment on Friday is now coming too because I sent him this pic.

I spend a decent whack of time and money making gravy because along with the roast potatoes it seems to be a make or break item!
The ingredients you can use to make good gravy are so varied I might have to start a gravy thread?
